Overview

A182 F53 / SAF 2507 / UNS S32750 pipe fittings is occupation of installing or repairing piping or tubing systems that transfer liquid, gas, and occasionally solid materials. It requires preparing or selecting pipe or tubing, joining it together by various means, and the location and repair of leaks. Super Duplex pipe fittings are very highly resistant to general corrosion and to pitting and crevice corrosion in high chloride, hot environments. It is not recommended for temperatures below -50°C or above +300°C, because of reduced toughness outside this range. Super Duplex Fittings has high resistance to intergranular corrosion and very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking in both chloride and sulphide environments. It can be fabricated by the process of cutting, bevelling, and welding. If Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings becomes embrittledit can only be rectified by a full solution annealing treatment. It can't be hardened by thermal treatment.

The B16.11 standard covers pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, tolerances, marking, and material requirements for forged carbon and alloy steel. Acceptable material forms are forgings, bars, seamless pipe, and seamless tubes which conform to the fittings chemical requirements, melting practices, and mechanical property requirements of ASTM A105, A182, or A350.
• They are available in three pressure ratings.. Class 3000, 6000 and 9000.
