What is 316L  Stainless steel welded pipe ?

 


316L stainless steel welded pipe is a corrosion-resistant stainless steel pipe.316L stainless steel pipe is to reduce the carbon content on the basis of 316, is an ultra-low carbon stainless steel, a variety of organic acids, inorganic acids, alkalis, salts have good corrosion resistance, good resistance to sensitized state intergranular corrosion performance. Welding performance is good, suitable for multi-layer welding, no heat treatment after welding, no tendency to cut corrosion after welding.

 

316L stainless steel is a high quality stainless steel material with excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature oxidative stability. This material is a lower carbon version of 316, and due to its low carbon content, 316L prevents intergranular corrosion at high temperatures. It has a wide range of applications in chemical, medical and food processing.

The chemical composition of 316L mainly consists of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and iron. Among them, chromium is one of the most important alloying elements in stainless steel materials, which can improve the corrosion and heat resistance of stainless steel. Nickel enhances the strength and plasticity of the material and also improves the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. Molybdenum, on the other hand, is a strong corrosion-resistant alloying element that can significantly improve the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.
