ASTM B163 UNS N08825 Nickel Alloy Seamless Pipe is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with added molybdenum and copper.
The chemical composition of this nickel steel alloy is designed to provide superior resistance to many corrosive environments. It is similar to Alloy 800 but has improved water corrosion resistance. It has excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids, stress corrosion cracking, and localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Alloy 825 Incoloy 825 is particularly resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acid. This nickel steel alloy is used in chemical processing, pollution control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production and pickling equipment.
