Elliptical head, also called ellipsoidal head, is a kind of head with elliptical shape. The ellipsoidal head is a head consisting of two parts: a rotating ellipsoidal sphere and a cylindrical straight section. They are also suitable for pressure vessels such as boilers, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
