1. Ferrules
The ferrule connection is commonly used for the connection of pipes made of different materials and temporary pipe connection. Its principle is through the lock nut and open compression ring will pipe compression on the pipe fittings, short sealing surface, easy and simple installation, without special tools, and can be dismantled. This type of connection is generally applicable to smaller specifications of water and gas systems, but the safety factor is relatively low.

2. Pressure type connection
Pressure type connection is mainly used for aluminium-plastic tube connection, its sealing principle is to use O-ring in the use of the process of deformation due to pressure and produce sealing effect. This connection is convenient construction, reliable connection, but the scope of use is relatively small, and the safety factor is not high. Stainless steel compression fittings connection technology is to protect water hygiene, corrosion resistance, long service life and other characteristics.

3. Threaded connection
Threaded connection, also known as silk buckle connection, through the internal and external threads of the pipe and pipe, pipe and valve connection. This connection is simple to manufacture, use, reliable connection, easy to use, good versatility, can be assembled and disassembled and reuse, mainly for steel, copper and high-pressure pipeline connection. But the pressure is low, the thread is easy to rot and leakage, so more for the open pipe. 

4. flange connection

Flange connection is two pipes or fittings are fixed in a flange, and then between the two flanges plus flange gasket, and finally bolted to the two flanges tighten the two flanges to make a close combination of a connection. Flange connection has good strength and tightness, applicable size range is wide, in the equipment and pipeline can be applied. But the flange connection, can not be quickly assembled and disassembled, and the manufacturing cost is higher, mostly used in the main connection valves, check valves, water meters, pumps, etc., as well as the need for frequent disassembly, maintenance of the pipeline section.

5. Welding connection
Welding connection is the most important and widely used in pipeline engineering connection, mainly divided into welding and gas welding. Welded connection interface firm and durable, not easy to leak, joint strength and tightness of high, do not need frequent management after use. However, welded joints are prone to large welding deformation and welding residual stress, affecting the bearing capacity of the joints, while the junction between the weld and the pipe (heat-affected zone) is prone to stress concentration, the fatigue fracture of the joints have a greater impact. Welded connections are mostly used for concealed pipelines and pipelines with large diameters, as well as in high-rise buildings.

6. Groove connection (clamp connection)
Groove connection is processed in the pipe joints and other parts of the formation of annular grooves, with clamps, rubber seals and fasteners and other components of the sleeve-type quick coupling. When installing, after putting on the shaped rubber sealing ring at the end of the neighbouring pipe, it is connected with the clamping piece of collocation type, and the inner edge of the clamping piece is positioned in the groove and fastened with the fasteners, which ensures the sealing performance of the pipeline. This connection has the advantages of not destroying the galvanised layer of steel pipe, quick construction, good sealing, easy to dismantle, etc. It can be used for building water supply, fire water supply, production water supply and other pipeline projects.

7. Socket connection
Socket connection is mainly used for cast iron pipe, applied in the pressure is not big up and down the pipeline. Socket connection is divided into mechanical interface and non-mechanical interface, mechanical interface using the flange connection on the flange and pipe end, the rubber sealing ring is pressed in the cast iron socket gap, so that the rubber ring is compressed and tightly with the pipe wall to form a seal; non-mechanical interfaces according to the different filler is divided into asbestos cement interfaces, self-stress cement interfaces, lead interfaces, rubber ring interfaces and so on.
