In the high-standard fabrication of industrial pressure vessels, the geometric construction and machining precision of core pressure-bearing components directly determine the safety margin and operational lifespan of the entire equipment.
Large heavy-wall angled nozzles undergo rigorous surface grinding and precise beveling to meet the strict technical specifications of full-penetration welding, ensuring weld reliability under the impact of high-pressure and high-temperature fluids.
To address the stress distribution characteristics around the main shell openings, heavy-wall forged nozzles (integral reinforcement components) with complex saddle-shaped profiles are widely utilized; their bottom curvatures are precisely calculated and machined to perfectly match the vessel's outer diameter. This physical structure, combining significant wall thickness with a smooth geometric transition, dramatically reduces the stress concentration factor at the opening edge, significantly enhancing the equipment's resistance to pulsating pressure and fatigue loading.
Before transit, the fully machined conical transition sections and nozzle components must be completely enclosed in industrial-grade VCI moisture-proof and anti-rust film and securely placed in custom wooden crates, absolutely isolating them from moisture corrosion and physical shocks during long-distance transport to maintain the high-precision flange faces and welding bevels in perfect condition for final assembly.
