ASTM A182 F53 is a super duplex stainless steel forging grade corresponding to UNS S32750. Its duplex microstructure provides a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. The typical alloy system contains approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum and nitrogen, with controlled carbon, sulfur and phosphorus levels. The high chromium and molybdenum content contributes to resistance against localized corrosion in chloride-containing environments.
