Purchasing Requirements
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify all requirements necessary for the material ordered under this specification. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Alloy - Specify the specific alloy required
- Dimensions - Provide detailed dimensional specifications
- Tube - Outside diameter, minimum or average wall thickness, and length
- Pipe - Standard pipe size and schedule
- Ends - Plain ends cut and deburred will be furnished
- Inspection and analysis samples - Indicate whether samples should be provided
- Buyer inspection - If witnessing tests or inspections at the manufacturing site, specify which tests require witnessing
The pipe should be provided in a solution annealed state and descaling state. When using atmosphere control, no descaling is required.
This specification is limited to tubes up to and including 3.5 in. (88.9 mm) outside diameter.
