N06022 (Hastelloy C22) is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy composed of elements such as nickel, molybdenum, cobalt, and tungsten, with approximately 60% nickel content. This universal Ni Cr Mo W alloy offers superior corrosion resistance compared to other Ni Cr Mo alloys, including Hastelloy C-276, C4 alloy, and 625 alloy.
Key properties include excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, along with outstanding oxidation resistance in aqueous media including wet chlorine, nitric acid, or mixed acids containing chloride ions. The alloy performs exceptionally well in both reducing and oxidation environments encountered during industrial processes.
N06022 demonstrates exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances like ferric chloride, copper(II) chloride, chlorine, and thermal pollution solutions. It also resists organic and inorganic liquids, formic acid, acetic acid, seawater, and salt solutions. The alloy maintains resistance to grain boundary precipitation in the heat affected zone (HAZ), making it suitable for welded applications in chemical processes.

This nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy derives its properties from nickel (providing ductility and basic corrosion resistance), chromium (resistance to oxidation), molybdenum (resistance to reducing media and pitting), and tungsten (enhanced pitting resistance and mechanical strength).
