ASTM A182 F321 Stainless Steel Forged Flange With Multi-application

An important feature of ASTM A182 F321 flanges is the alloy’s good resistance to general corrosion. A182 F321 material has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, even when the material is exposed to high temperatures, within the range where chromium carbide precipitation occurs, between 800°F and 1500°F.

Stainless steel 321 slip-on flanges are used because they are not sensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating within the carbide precipitation range of 425 degrees Celsius - 850 degrees Celsius. Stainless steel 321 blind flanges are also beneficial for high temperature service due to their good mechanical properties. Stainless steel 321 socket weld flanges are a heat resistant grade supplied to numerous industrial sectors.
