EN10217-7 1.4301 Stainless Steel Pipe With Al Fins Extruded Fin Tube For HVAC&R
This product is a high-efficiency Bimetallic Finned Tube, specifically designed for heat transfer applications. It consists of a core pipe manufactured according to the European standard EN 10217-7(ASTM A312), made from austenitic stainless steel grade 1.4301 (equivalent to AISI 304). A finned surface is permanently bonded to this core pipe through an extrusion process.

The 1.4301 stainless steel inner pipe provides excellent corrosion resistance, high pressure containment, and strength, making it ideal for conveying media like water, steam, or various chemicals.
The external aluminum fins dramatically increase the external surface area of the tube. Aluminum's high thermal conductivity facilitates highly efficient heat transfer between the fluid inside the tube and the air (or gas) flowing across the finned exterior.

2. Key Features
Exceptionally High Heat Transfer Efficiency
The aluminum fins significantly increase the surface area for air contact, while aluminum's high thermal conductivity enables fast and efficient heat transfer from the fluid inside the steel tube to the outside air.
The inner tube uses corrosion-resistant/pressure-resistant stainless steel, while the external fins use highly conductive and economical aluminum. This combination guarantees core performance at a much lower cost than all-stainless steel finned tubes.
The 1.4301 (304) stainless steel inner tube resists corrosion from water, steam, many chemicals, and marine atmospheres, ensuring long-term reliability of the core flow channel in demanding applications.
The extrusion process creates a strong mechanical bond between the aluminum fin and the stainless steel core tube, resulting in minimal thermal contact resistance. It also resists vibration and thermal shock, preventing fin loosening.
The stainless steel core pipe compliant with the EN10217-7 standard is designed for pressure purposes, safely withstanding the internal pressure of high-temperature and high-pressure fluids (e.g., steam, high-pressure water).
The aluminum fins are lightweight, reducing the overall weight of the heat exchanger. This design is suitable for a wide temperature range, from low-temperature refrigeration to high-temperature heating.
