Concentric Reducer, ASTM A234 WP11 CL2 Alloy Steel Buttweld Fitting up to 64"

This Concentric Reducer is a butt-weld fitting manufactured from alloy steel conforming to ASTM A234 WP11 CL2 specification. This specification is for Piping Fittings of Wrought Carbon Steel and Alloy Steel for Moderate and High Temperature Service. It covers wrought carbon steel and alloy steel fittings of seamless and welded construction covered by the latest revision of ASME B16.9, B16.11, MSS-SP-79, MSS-SP-83, MSS-SP-95, and MSS-SP-97. These fittings are for use in pressure piping and in pressure vessel fabrication for service at moderate and elevated temperatures.


This fitting features a conical shape with coaxial ends, designed to join pipes of different diameters, ensuring a smooth and axis-aligned transition in the pipeline. The material is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel (WP11 designating 1¼Cr-½Mo steel) suitable for intermediate and high-temperature service. The Class 2 (CL2) designation indicates specific heat treatment and mechanical property requirements as per the standard. It is connected by welding its beveled ends directly to the pipes. This fitting is primarily used in high-temperature and high-pressure piping systems within industries such as petrochemical, power generation, and oil & gas transmission.
