ASTM A249 stainless steel welded tubes are ideal for applications which require good dimensional precision and excellent polished surfaces. The bright annealed surface finish and cold drawn process enhance performance of tubes, making them suitable for food grade applications, beverage industry, sugar refinery, chemical processing, and industrial systems. These welded tubes are manufactured by forming flat strips of stainless steel 304 into a tube shape and welding the seam longitudinally using an automated process (TIG welding). After welding, the tube undergoes a solution annealing treatment. The bright annealing process occurs in a controlled atmosphere furnace. This process relieves internal stresses induced during forming and welding, and produces a smooth, oxide-free surface. The absence of scale eliminates the need for further chemical pickling, ensuring a pristine finish ideal for hygienic and high-purity applications.

The regular outer diameter size range from 6mm to 76.2mm, while the wall thickness can be 0.5mm - 3.4mm. We generally cut such tubes into 6 meter per piece.
