EN10216-5 1.4462 (UNS S32205) is a premium cold-drawn duplex stainless steel seamless tube compliant with the European standard EN10216-5. The material grade 1.4462 corresponds to UNS S32205 (commonly known as 2205 duplex stainless steel). As a typical ferritic-austenitic duplex stainless steel, it combines the high strength, chloride stress corrosion resistance of ferritic stainless steel and the excellent toughness, weldability of austenitic stainless steel . The cold drawn manufacturing process ensures precise dimensional accuracy, smooth inner and outer surfaces, uniform wall thickness and superior mechanical consistency compared with hot-finished tubes, making it ideal for high-precision, high-pressure and corrosive industrial service conditions. This duplex steel seamless tube is specially designed for pressure-bearing equipment, fluid transmission and harsh corrosive environments.
