It is a threaded plug, not a weld fitting. It seals only when installed in a matching NPT female port with proper sealant and correct torque. Verify pressure class, temperature, and media compatibility before use.

Match the plug to the female NPT port: size, thread type, and ASME B16.11 class — normally 2000, 3000, or 6000.
Confirm material suitability
Use Hastelloy C276 / UNS N10276 where resistance is needed to chlorides, seawater, acids, hypochlorite, and mixed corrosive media.
