C68700 (C687) copper-nickel alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine salt water environments. The main wrought copper-nickel alloys for seawater service contain 10% or 30% nickel. These alloys include important additions of iron and manganese, which are essential for optimal corrosion resistance. Common applications for C706 include copper-nickel fittings, condenser housings, and heat exchanger components.

Material Properties
UNS C68700 demonstrates exceptional corrosion resistance in seawater environments. Both C44300 and C68700 pipes offer superior corrosion protection. C68700 is supplied in O61 temper (annealed) condition with minimum tensile strength of 345 MPa and minimum yield strength of 125 MPa.
