Duplex/Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipes And Tubes A790 S32750 (SAF2507, 1.4410) , SA789 S31803(SAF2205,1.4462),
YUHONG GROUP deal with Austenitic Stainless Steel, Duplex and Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy Steel(Hastelloy , Monel, Inconel, Incoloy ), Copper Alloy Steel seamless and welded pipe and tube already more than 33 years, every year sell more than 15000 tons. Our client already cover more than 75 countries, Like Italy, UK, Gernmany, USA, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Korea, Singapore, Austrial, Poland, France , ....And our group branch company and factory have been already approved by :ABS, DNV, GL, BV, PED 97/23/EC, AD2000-WO, GOST9941-81, CCS, TS, CNNC, ISO9001-2015, ISO 14001-2015,ISO 18001-2015.
2205 alloy (UNS S31803 and/or S32205) is a nitrogen-enhanced duplex stainless steel alloy. The nitrogen serves to significantly improve the
corrosion resistance of the alloy; especially in the welded condition. Earlier duplex alloys have had moderate resistance to general corrosion
and chloride stress corrosion cracking, but suffered a substantial loss of properties when used in the as-welded condition. To impart the
metallurgical benefits of nitrogen to both improved corrosion performance and as-welded properties, the 2205 alloy is produced to a
0.15% minimum nitrogen content compared to the ASTM range of 0.08-0.20% for S31803 and 0.14-0.20% for S32205. The minimum Cr,
Mo and Ni contents of 2205 alloy (22.0, 3.1 and 5.5% respectively) satisfy the requirements of both the UNS S31803 and S32205
composition specifications. The typical high Cr, Mo and Ni contents of 2205 alloy give it a high PRE N (Pitting Resistance Equivalent) of 35.8,
further enhancing its corrosion resistance. The PRE N of 2205 alloy exceeds those of types 316L and 317L stainless steels.
Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel developed for applications that demand high strength and corrosion resistance. Alloy 2507 has 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. This high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content causes high resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion attack and the duplex structure provides 2507 with exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Using Super DuplexUNS S32750 must be restricted to applications below 600° F (316° C). Extended elevated temperature exposure can reduce both the toughness and corrosion resistance of alloy 2507.
The steel combines high mechanical strength (typically up to 570 MPa yield strength) and good ductility with outstanding corrosion resistance in marine environments. The alloy is supplied with a PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent) at >= 40.0 which guarantees high resistance to pitting corrosion. In addition, the steel offers high resistance to crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Ambient and sub-zero (down to minus 50°C) notch ductility is good.
These attributes mean that this super duplex steel can be used successfully as an alternative to 300 series stainless steel (such as type 316), standard 22% Cr duplex steel (such as UNS S31803 / 1.4462 with PREN 33-34) and precipitation hardening stainless steels (typically 17/4PH).
