ASTM A270 TP316L Sanitary Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe U Bend for Dairy and Food Industries

ASTM A270 covers the grades of seamless, welded and heavily cold worked austenitic and ferritic/austenitic stainless steel sanitary pipes. Seamless pipes are manufactured using a process that does not involve welding at any stage, while welded pipes use an automated welding process with no filler metal added. Heavy cold-worked pipes are cold-worked to a reduction of not less than 35% in wall thickness and weld thickness prior to final annealing.

All materials are supplied in heat treated condition and undergo rigorous testing including chemical analysis, mechanical tests such as reverse flattening test, hydrostatic test, or non-destructive electrical test.

Only the inner surface can be polished longitudinally, while both inner and outer surfaces can be polished circumferentially.

ASTM A270 A270M Sanitary Tubing is ideal for the dairy, food and beverage industries where the highest levels of purity and cleanliness are required. It is certified to the requirements of ASTM A270, 3A standards and most user specifications.

We stock all plumbing pipe sizes from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 8" (203.2mm) OD in 20' standard lengths. Custom lengths and sizes are available upon request.

ASTM A270 A270M ASME SA270 grades TP304L and TP316L are available from stock. Other grades are available upon request.
