DIN1.4841 is a fully austenitic stainless steel grade. It is a good heat resisting grade with excellent corrosion resistance. Usually, these are ideal for high heating applications due to its goods thermal stability. A common feature of high-temperature SS that is designed for use in temperature more than 500 degree C. Below this temperature range, creep strength is the fundament for the dimensioning factor. Designing steels for high-temperature applications tend them to resistance to oxidation. As it is an austenitic grade, resulting in good creep strength.

 

Stainless Steel DIN 1.4841 pipe is processed from heat treatment process due to good temperature stability even at high temperatures. Primarily, it is used wherever high mechanical strength is required. Machining stress is removed by the stress relieving process. This operation is done to remove distortion and elongation. This grade is resistant to scaling in oxidizing environments. It also shows certain sensitivity at reducing chemicals such as chlorides, sulfides, and harsh acids. These SS tubes are leakage proof even in pressurizing applications. These are also formable into any complex shapes with conventional machines.
