ASTM B163/ ASME SB163 specification relates to tubes defined by their outside diameter along with either average wall thickness or minimum wall thickness. It applies to sizes of 3 inches (76.2 mm) in outside diameter or less, with minimum wall thicknesses not exceeding 0.148 inches (3.76 mm) and average wall thicknesses not exceeding 0.165 inches (4.19 mm). Monel 400 is mainly consist of Nickel and Copper, which known for its excellent corrosion resistance, good strength and thermal stability, especially in marine environments and acidic conditions.

Manufacturing Process:

  1. Production:

    • The seamless U-bend tubes are produced through a combination of processes such as extrusion, pilgering, and bending. Initial solid metal rounds are heated, extruded, and then elongated into a tube shape without seams.
