Introduction & Standard Specification

This product is a seamless pipe made from Copper-Nickel Alloy UNS C70600 (commonly known as CuNi 90/10), manufactured in strict accordance with the ASTM B466 / B466M standard. This specification covers seamless copper-nickel pipes and tubes for general engineering purposes. As a seamless product, it is manufactured from cast billets by processes like hot extrusion or piercing, followed by cold working and annealing, ensuring high integrity and uniformity without a welded seam.

The alloy is renowned for its excellent corrosion resistance in seawater and marine environments, making it a superior and cost-effective choice over stainless steel in applications prone to chloride stress-corrosion cracking. It offers a balanced combination of good fabricability, moderate strength, and high resistance to biofouling and various forms of corrosion.

Material & Chemical Composition (CuNi 90/10)

Copper-Nickel UNS C70600, or CuNi 90/10, is a single-phase alpha-structured alloy. Its excellent seawater corrosion resistance is attributed to the significant presence of iron and manganese. The typical chemical composition is as follows:
