Product Overview

This seamless austenitic stainless steel tubing is manufactured to meet ASTM A269 standards for general service applications. Supplied in coiled form, it enables continuous, long-length installations without joints, making it ideal for complex piping systems.

TP316L Grade Designation
  • TP: Denotes "Tube Pipe" for tubular products
  • 316L: Low-carbon variant of 316 stainless steel, alloyed with Molybdenum (Mo)

Manufacturing Process

Produced as seamless tubing through processes like piercing and extrusion, followed by cold drawing to achieve precise dimensions and smooth surface finish.

Heat Treatment

All material is furnished in heat-treated (solution annealed) condition. This involves heating to ≥1040°C with rapid cooling to dissolve carbides, restore austenitic microstructure, and optimize corrosion resistance and ductility.

Testing & Inspection

Each tube undergoes rigorous testing including mandatory non-destructive electric testing (eddy current) or hydrostatic testing. Additional tests like flattening, flaring, hardness, and reverse flattening are performed per standard requirements.
