Introduction and Standard Specifications
These seamless tubes are manufactured from nickel-iron-chromium alloy UNS N08825 (Incoloy 825) in strict compliance with the ASTM B163 standard. This specification defines requirements for seamless nickel alloy tubes designed specifically for condensers and heat exchangers, covering tubes with outside diameters of 3 inches (76.2 mm) and under. The latest published version is ASTM B163-22.

Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy enhanced with molybdenum, copper, and titanium, engineered to deliver exceptional corrosion resistance in demanding environments.
  • Excellent resistance to corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing acids
  • Superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting/crevice corrosion in chloride-containing media
  • Good mechanical properties from cryogenic to moderately high temperatures
  • Titanium addition stabilizes the alloy against sensitization during welding or high-temperature exposure
