ALLOY STEEL SEAMLESS PIPES A335 P22 BEND PIPE FOR MEMBRANE WALLS

 

Membrane Walls (or Membrane Water Walls), which are critical heat exchange components used in industrial boilers.
 
Their main functions are as follows:
 
1. Absorbing Radiant Heat (Primary Function):
These panels are installed along the inner walls of the boiler furnace. Water or steam flows inside the alloy tubes. They absorb the intense radiant heat generated by fuel combustion, which heats the water and turns it into steam.
 
2. Protecting the Furnace Walls:
The parallel tubes are welded together with flat steel bars (membrane strips) to form a solid, sealed panel. This barrier protects the boiler's refractory insulation and external steel structure from the extremely high temperatures inside the furnace and prevents heat loss to the outside.
 
3. Ensuring Gas-Tight Sealing:
This welded "membrane" structure creates a completely airtight furnace chamber. This prevents high-temperature flue gas from leaking out, thereby significantly increasing the boiler's thermal efficiency.
 
4. Providing Structural Support:
These rigid, integrated panels also provide a certain degree of structural rigidity and support within the boiler framework.
 
ASTM A335 covers “low-alloy” steel pipes have a total amount of alloying elements below 5%. The addition of higher percentages of alloying elements (example Nickel and Chromium) transforms the steel into higher alloys, like stainless steel, duplex, up to super-alloyed materials like Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, etc.Alloy steel pipes are used in the energy industry for high temperature and very low-temperature service (cryogenic), or for applications with very high pressures.
