ASME SB462 UNS N10276 Long Weld Neck Flange (LWNF) is a forged, raised-face or flat-face pipe flange characterized by an extended, tapered hub (Long Weld Neck), designed to provide superior corrosion resistance and mechanical stress relief for critical high-pressure vessel and pipeline nozzles. It is manufactured from a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy (UNS N10276, commercially known as Hastelloy C-276) in compliance with the ASME material specification SB-462. The "LWN" designates a Long Weld Neck, which provides a gradual stress transition and often eliminates the need for separate reinforcing pads when welded to a pipe or pressure vessel nozzle.
