This unit is an industrial shell and tube heat exchanger (also designated as a team heat exchanger) designed in strict accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and TEMA Class R standards. The internal layout integrates an 1108-tube finned tube bundle engineered for installation in the Crude Distillation Unit Stabilizer OVHD Condenser (Tag No. W-04A/B). The mechanical design addresses severe corrosive condensation environments containing aqueous chloride and acidic hydrocarbons.

Precision Tube Expansion Procedure: The finned tube bundle is secured into the Monel 400 tubesheet using a dual-depth torque expansion process (Depth Expansion at 40.5 mm and 60.5 mm). Tube hole layout adheres 20.25 mm triangular/square pitch pattern.
Corrosion-Resistant Cladding & Metallurgy: All wet surfaces of the shell and pressure-retaining heads exposed to corrosive vapors utilize ASME SB-127 UNS N04400 (Monel 400) solid or clad material.
Flow Distribution & Baffle Positioning: Integrated with heavy-duty impingement protection plates and transverse baffle plates, maintaining uniform tube support spacing at 750 mm and 753 mm.
Hydrostatic & Pneumatic Testing: Shell-side and tube-side pressure tests are conducted independently in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1 rules
Nondestructive Examination (NDE): 100% Radiographic Testing (RT) applied to all full-penetration butt-welded seams; 100% Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) applied to tubesheet-to-tube expanded/welded joints.
Surface Coating & Finishing: Structural external carbon steel components undergo Hot Dip Galvanizing; final coating application consists of Graphite + AISI 316 / Power Graf 3 Premium high-temperature protective finish.
Lifting & Handling Attachments: scheduled for removal and plug sealing following installation into the heat exchanger shell.
Flange Facing Protection: All ANSI B16.5 raised face flanges and female NPT couplings are fitted with heavy-duty plastic cover plates and rust-inhibitor caps for ocean freight and export transport.
