Product Overview

ASME SA-213/SA-213M covers seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy-steel boiler, superheater, and heat-exchanger tubes. TP316L is UNS S31603, a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel. Typical furnished sizes are 1/2 in. [3.2 mm] inside diameter to 5 in. [127 mm] outside diameter, with 0.015 to 0.500 in. [0.4 to 12.7 mm] minimum or average wall thickness. Tubes may be hot finished or cold finished.

Its low carbon content and molybdenum addition support use in many corrosive and chloride-bearing service conditions where improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance is needed.
