Titanium Alloy Fasteners ASTM F468 B348 GR.2 Threaded Rod Threaded Bar with Nut and Washer

The core advantages of ASTM B348 Gr.2 threaded rod lie in its excellent corrosion resistance and significant weight reduction, making it primarily suitable for working conditions with stringent requirements for rust prevention and weight savings.

Core Advantages
- Extremely strong corrosion resistance: Gr.2 is commercially pure titanium and performs excellently in seawater, chlorides, and various acidic media. Measured data shows that its service life in marine environments far exceeds that of 316L stainless steel (the latter rusts within 2 years, while Gr.2 shows zero corrosion after ten years). It is especially resistant to chloride ion attack and is not prone to pitting or crevice corrosion.
- Lightweight and high strength: Its density is only about 57% that of steel, allowing for a substantial reduction in structural weight. Its minimum tensile strength is approximately 345 MPa, and its yield strength is 275 MPa, achieving weight reduction while ensuring sufficient strength.
- Non-magnetic and temperature-resistant: Its relative magnetic permeability is extremely low, making it completely non-magnetic and suitable for precision equipment sensitive to magnetic interference. Its operating temperature can be maintained at around 200°C.

Main Uses
- Marine and chemical engineering: Used for dock reinforcement, deep-sea pipeline flanges, seawater desalination equipment, and chlor-alkali, papermaking, and other chlorine bleaching production lines, solving fastening challenges in highly corrosive environments.
- Automotive and aviation modification: Commonly used for wheel hub bolts (such as M14 specifications) on high-performance vehicles, improving acceleration and braking performance by reducing unsprung mass, while the threads remain intact even after repeated disassembly.
- General industry and medical: Suitable for heat exchanger supports, reaction vessels, and load-bearing structural components of medical equipment, leveraging its biocompatibility and stability.

What Is a "Threaded Rod" ? What Is the Difference Between a "Threaded Rod" and a "Threaded Bar" ?
"Threaded Rod" and a "Threaded Bar" are essentially the same thing — both refer to a fully threaded stud (also called a fully threaded rod, threaded bar, or threaded rod), i.e., a cylindrical fastener with no head and threads running along its entire length. The only difference between the two lies in the conventional distinction based on length:
(threaded rod): usually refers to fully threaded studs with a length ≤ 1 meter.
(threaded bar): usually refers to fully threaded studs with a length > 1 meter.

Their main use is as fasteners for connecting thicker components, or as adjustable supporting members. They are widely used in machinery, construction, chemicals, and other industries.

StandardComponentDescription & Key Details
ISO 4017Hexagon Head Screws (fully threaded)A bolt or screw with a hexagon head, fully threaded from under the head to the end.
ISO 898-1Mechanical Properties (for bolts/screws)Defines strength grades (Property Classes) for carbon/alloy steel bolts/screws. For Duplex 2205, not a direct strength grade match, but provides the framework.
ISO 4032Hexagon Nuts (Style 1)Specifies "regular" hexagon nuts with metric coarse threads.
ISO 7089Plain Washers (Normal Series)Defines standard plain washers (replacing the older DIN 125 standard).
