ASTM A815 UNS S32750/ WPS32750 Super Duplex 2507 Buttweld Pipe Fittings Concentric Reducer
This concentric reducer is machined and formed from SAF 2507 (UNS S32750) super duplex stainless steel to the chemistry, heat-treatment and dimensional requirements of ASTM A815 WPS32750. It steps a larger run pipe down to a smaller bore on a common centre line, so the flow stays symmetrical through the transition instead of being pushed to one side. With a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number of roughly 42, the fitting keeps its passivity in chloride levels that pit 316L and outlast 2205 duplex in wet CO2, chlorinated seawater and chloride-bearing process streams.
Why concentric rather than eccentric here?
A concentric reducer keeps both pipe bores on the same axis. The reduction is spread evenly around the circumference, which means the velocity profile leaving the reducer stays uniform and there is no single-sided impingement point for erosion or cavitation to start from. That matters on pump suction headers, vertical risers, manifold branches and any line where the downstream equipment sees the discharge directly.
Eccentric reducers exist for a different reason: flat-bottom installation on horizontal liquid lines so the line drains completely and no gas pocket is trapped under the taper. Where free drainage or vapour relief governs the design, specify eccentric. Where flow symmetry and compact centre-line routing govern it, this concentric type is the correct choice.

To quote accurately, we need the run and branch sizes, schedule or wall thickness of the connecting pipe, end preparation, quantity and any project specification that governs testing.
