ASTM A376 TP347H seamless pipe is a seamless austenitic stainless steel pipe manufactured to ASTM A376/A376M. The TP347H grade is a niobium-stabilized, high-carbon 18Cr–10Ni austenitic stainless steel, designated UNS S34709. This ASTM A376 TP347H stainless steel seamless pipe is produced without a welded seam, typically by hot piercing/extrusion and, when required, cold drawing or cold rolling. ASTM A376 pipe is intended primarily for high-temperature services—boiler, superheater, reheater, steam piping and elevated-temperature power-plant applications. TP347H is the high-carbon version of Type 347; the higher carbon content improves creep and rupture strength at elevated temperature, while niobium stabilization improves resistance to sensitization and intergranular corrosion after welding or high-temperature exposure.
