A213 316L Stainless Steel Composition
316L is the low carbon variant of 316 stainless steel, with carbon content not exceeding 0.035% and molybdenum content ranging from 2.0-3.0%. This composition provides exceptional corrosion resistance in high acid environments. In Europe, this grade is designated as 1.4404, with minimal differences in chemical composition and mechanical properties.
Product Specifications
ASTM A213 TP316L pipe is available in diameters from ½" to 100". ERW pipe and cold drawn seamless pipe typically have an OD of 24 inches, while electrofusion welded 316L stainless steel pipe ranges from 6 inches to 100 inches. Square tubes are used for structural and high-pressure applications like hydraulic systems, while rectangular tubes complement square tube applications. Seamless tubing is ideal for sensitive and precision applications.
