Titanium has good plasticity. The elongation of high-purity titanium is 50% to 60%, and the cross-sectional shrinkage is 70% to 80%.

 

 

The specific strength (ratio of strength to weight) of industrial pure titanium tubes is very high among metal structural materials. Its strength is comparable to that of steel, but its weight is only 57% of that of steel. In addition, titanium tubes have high heat resistance and can still maintain good strength and stability in high temperature environments of 500°C. Titanium tubes also have good low-temperature resistance. Even at ultra-low temperatures of -250°C, they have high impact strength and can withstand high pressure and vibration.

 

 

ASME SB338 GR.7 titanium alloy seamless tube (Ti-0.12-0.25Pd) has become the preferred material for equipment and piping systems with high corrosion risks, strict reliability requirements, lightweight design or high purity environments due to its excellent corrosion resistance (especially resistance to reducing acids and chloride environments) given by palladium alloying, high integrity and reliable pressure bearing capacity guaranteed by seamless structures, excellent high specific strength, and good surface cleanliness and biocompatibility. It has a long service life and requires less maintenance, making it more cost-effective throughout its life cycle in critical equipment applications.
