ASTM A182 F22 1.7380 Alloy Steel Forged Flange Blind RF Face ANSI B16.5
What is material F22?
Grade F22 is a low alloy steel containing nominally 2.25% Chromium. The alloy is widely used in the oil patch wellhead applications for connectors, hangers and block valves. Hardness levels up to 22 HRC are approved to NACE MR0175. The grade is often used as the base metal for clad components.
What is the difference between F22 and other alloy steel grades?
F22 grade steel is a low alloy steel that contains elements such as chromium and molybdenum which provides improved toughness and high temperature strength compared to plain carbon steels. Alloy Steel F22 Flanges also has good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
What is the temperature range of Alloy Steel A182 F22 Flanges?
Alloy Steel A182 Grade F22 Flanges can withstand temperatures up to 1020°F in short-term exposure and 900°F in long-term exposure.
Alloy Steel F22 Flanges certainly minimal use with hydrochloric acids. ASTM A182 Grade F22 Flanges performs much better than other austenitic stainless steel because of the much higher alloying of nickel as well as molybdenum. Thus, cheaper raw materials in Alloy Steel A182 Grade F22 WNRF Flanges, such as high – carbon ferrochromium, may be used in the initial melting operation. A182 F22 Alloy Steel Blind Flanges typically contains 11.5 percent to 18 percent of chromium and up to 1.2 percent carbon with nickel sometimes added. A182 F22 Steel Slip On Flanges are hardenable by heat treatment, have modest corrosion resistance. A182 Gr F22 Steel Flanges is an alloy that displays high resistance to corrosion, particularly against acidic environments.
