ASME SA213 is a standard for seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy steel tubes for boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers developed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). ASME SA213 TP347H stainless steel seamless heat exhcanger tube is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel seamless tube widely used in industrial fields under high temperature and high pressure environments, such as power plant boilers, petrochemicals, nuclear energy industries, etc.


TP347H stainless steel can operate stably for extended periods at temperatures up to 650°C, with an oxidation resistance temperature up to 850°C. It exhibits excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and polysulfide intergranular stress corrosion, making it suitable for corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts. TP347H has a tensile strength of 530 MPa, a yield strength of not less than 205 MPa, an elongation of not less than 40%, and a hardness of approximately 289 HBW. To ensure its performance, TP347H stainless steel seamless tubes must be delivered in a solution-annealed state. The heat treatment temperature is typically ≥1040°C, followed by rapid cooling (water quenching) to completely dissolve carbides such as niobium carbide into the austenitic matrix, obtaining a uniform supersaturated solid solution, thus achieving optimal corrosion resistance and subsequent age-hardening capabilities.

Stainless Steel TP347H Compare with other Materials

  • vs. TP347: The primary difference between TP347H and TP347 is their carbon content. The upper limit of TP347's carbon content is 0.08%, while TP347H's carbon content ranges from 0.04% to 0.10%, with a minimum carbon content requirement of 0.04%. Therefore, TP347H offers higher high-temperature strength and is specifically designed for high-temperature applications.
  • vs. TP321H: TP321H primarily stabilizes carbon through the addition of titanium, which also provides resistance to intergranular corrosion. Niobium is generally considered to provide a greater stabilizing effect than titanium. Therefore, TP347H generally outperforms TP321H in terms of intergranular corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.
