ASTM A312 TP316L (UNS S31603) is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel seamless pipe designed for high corrosion resistance and high-temperature service in petrochemical, chemical processing, oil & gas, and other demanding industries. It offers superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared to standard 316 stainless steel due to its reduced carbon content (≤0.03%), minimizing carbide precipitation during welding and thermal cycling.
