ASTM B564 specifies forged products made of nickel and nickel alloys.
 
It covers dozens of common, commercially available nickel alloys, such as UNS N04400, UNS N06625, and UNS N08825. UNS N04400 flanges made from these alloys exhibit excellent corrosion resistance due to the properties of nickel-based materials and are widely used in seawater environments.
 
In actual production, the manufacturing process, chemical composition, and mechanical properties are subject to strict requirements and must be implemented in accordance with ASTM B564 standards.

Seawater Corrosion Far superior to stainless steels. Highly resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and biofouling in stagnant or fast-flowing seawater.
Acid Resistance Excellent in reducing acids (HCl, HF, H₂SO₄ under non-aerated conditions) where stainless steels fail rapidly.
