ASTM A269 TP304L Bright Annealed Tube refers to a stainless steel seamless/welded tubular product made from low-carbon austenitic stainless steel 304L grade, manufactured and tested in accordance with the ASTM A269/A269M standard specification. The "Bright Annealed" surface signifies that the tube has undergone a final heat treatment in a controlled atmosphere furnace (typically containing hydrogen, nitrogen, or argon), which prevents oxidation and scaling, resulting in a clean, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing bright surface finish. YUHONG GROUP has manufactured ASTM A269 stainless steel tubes mainly from 6mm to 152.4mm diameter. The regular length is 6 meter or we can cut into fixed length according to the client’s request. We can provide different surfaces, including bright annealed, annealed and pickled, mechanical polished and electrochemical polished.

Different Surface Finishes:

• Bright Annealed (BA): The tube is heat-treated in a controlled atmosphere furnace. This prevents oxidation, eliminating the need for pickling. The result is a smooth, shiny, and oxide-free surface. It is the preferred finish for high-purity systems, instrumentation, and aesthetic applications.
• Annealed and Pickled (AP): The tube is heat-treated in a standard air furnace, which forms a dark oxide scale. This scale is then removed by pickling in an acid bath (usually a mixture of nitric and hydrofluoric acids). The resulting surface is a dull, matte gray finish.
• Polished: Starting from an annealed and pickled or bright annealed base, the tube is mechanically polished to achieve a specific surface roughness, such as 240 Grit, 320 Grit, 400 Grit, 600 Grit, etc..
