A Large Diameter Butt Weld Equal Tee, manufactured in compliance with ASTM A403 WP347-WX, is a forged pipe fitting used to connect three pipes of the same nominal diameter at a 90-degree angle. The "Butt Weld" designation indicates that the fitting features beveled ends, designed to be installed by butt welding directly to pipes, creating a permanent, leak-proof, and high-strength joint suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature service. Austenitic Stainless Steel WP347(UNS S34700), offering excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. The "WX" classification is a critical quality designation: it signifies that all longitudinal welds (if fabricated) have undergone 100% radiographic.
