The ASTM A403 WP310S Reducer is a pipe reducer specifically designed for high-temperature, highly corrosive environments.
310S stainless steel is chosen because its core advantage lies in the superior high-temperature performance resulting from its unique chemical composition.
High chromium (Cr) and high nickel (Ni) content: This is the foundation of its performance. The high chromium content provides excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance, while the high nickel content stabilizes the austenitic structure, giving the material excellent high-temperature strength and toughness.
It can operate stably under continuous high-temperature conditions up to 1150°C, exhibiting excellent oxidation and creep resistance. Under intermittent operating conditions, its oxidation temperature can reach 1093°C. The maximum operating temperature of ordinary stainless steel is typically around 800°C.
Its excellent corrosion resistance makes it widely used in sulfur- and carbon-containing environments in the petrochemical industry.
