ASME SB111 C68700 Arsenical Aluminum Brass U Bend Seamless Tube is a seamless tube manufactured from C68700 arsenical aluminum brass in compliance with ASME SB111 standard. It is produced by seamless cold‑drawn or hot‑extruded process followed by U‑bending. The material contains copper, zinc, aluminum, and a trace amount of arsenic, offering excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, impingement attack, and dezincification. This U‑bend seamless tube is widely used in heat exchangers, condensers, and tube bundles for marine, power plant, and desalination applications.

2. Key Advantages

  • Aluminum forms a dense protective film of aluminum oxide on the surface, which can resist the erosion of seawater and brackish water for a long time.
  • It is particularly suitable for high-flow-rate cooling water environments, and can effectively avoid pipe wall thinning or perforation caused by high-speed fluid impact.
  • Adding trace amounts of arsenic (As) inhibits the selective dissolution of zinc in brass, preventing the formation of a loose copper skeleton and the risk of leakage.
  • With a thermal conductivity of approximately 100–121 W/(m·K), significantly higher than that of stainless steel, it can effectively improve the heat exchange efficiency of heat exchangers.
  • Suitable for alternating temperature or pressure conditions, reducing the risk of cracking failure during long-term operation.
  • It outperforms ordinary brass, and its corrosion resistance life is close to that of higher-cost copper-nickel alloys or stainless steel, but its price is much lower.
