ASME SA350 LF2 CL.1 Carbon and Low-Alloy Steel Forged Body Flange for Low Temperature
ASTM A350 (ASME SA350) applies to carbon and low-alloy steel forged or ring-rolled piping components intended primarily for low-temperature service, with mandatory notch toughness testing. Within this family, A350 LF2 is the most common LTCS grade used across oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG-adjacent utilities, and cold-region pipeline stations.
ASME SA350 LF2 CL1 flange is formed by integral forging, where the body (including sealing face, neck, bolt holes, etc.) is machined from a single forged billet without welded seams. It meets the standard’s requirements for chemical composition, mechanical properties (such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation), and Charpy V-notch impact energy at -46°C. This flange is suitable for valves, equipment connections, and pressure vessel nozzles in petrochemical, natural gas, marine engineering, and low-temperature piping systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation under cryogenic conditions.
