Manufacturing & Testing Requirements per ASTM A860
Manufacturing: Can be seamless (for small sizes) or welded (from plate for large sizes). After welding, the fitting is heat-treated (normalized or quenched + tempered) to restore properties.
Non-Destructive Examination (NDE):
All welds in fabricated fittings must be radiographed (RT) or ultrasonically tested (UT).
