Our ASTM A213 Grade T5 (ASME SA213 T5) seamless low-alloy steel tubes are specifically engineered to thrive under demanding, high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive industrial environments. Containing a balanced addition of Chromium (4.00% - 6.00%) and Molybdenum (0.45% - 0.65%), these ferritic steel tubes provide superior thermal conductivity, improved creep resistance, and resistance to high-temperature oxidation compared to standard carbon steels.

  • Length Options: Single Random (5 - 7 m), Double Random (10 - 12 m), or custom cut-to-length dimensions up to 22.5 meters.
  • Tube Ends: Plain End (PE), Beveled End (BE) for welding, or Threaded.
Testing & Quality Control Standards

To guarantee maximum structural integrity in critical pressure systems, every batch of ASTM A213 T5 tubes undergoes comprehensive testing prior to dispatch:

  1. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
    • 100% Eddy Current Testing or Hydrostatic Pressure Testing per ASTM A1016.
    • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) available upon request for high-pressure installations.
  2. Mechanical & Physical Testing:
    • Tensile & Yield Testing: Verifies load capacities under high operational pressures.
    • Flattening Test: Ensures weldability and absence of micro-cracking under stress.
    • Flaring / Drift Expansion Test: Assures uniform wall thickness and ductility during tube sheet expansion.
    • Hardness Testing: Confirms proper heat treatment execution.
  3. Metallurgical Analysis:
    • Grain size verification and PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing.
    • Intergranular corrosion resistance and microstructural evaluation.
  4. Surface Treatment & Finishing:
    • Supplied with passivated, bright-annealed, or anti-rust varnished surface protection.
    • Full Material Test Reports (MTR) provided in accordance with EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
