C70600 Copper Nickel Pipe, also known as Copper Nickel 90/10 Seamless Pipe, provides superior corrosion resistance, particularly in marine environments.

UNS C70600 copper-nickel alloy is annealed at 593 to 816°C (1100 to 1500°F) and exhibits excellent cold workability, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.

This alloy is specifically designed for applications where stainless steel cannot be used due to chloride stress corrosion cracking (CSCC) and other demanding corrosion environments. Common uses include:

• Machined and forged valve and pump components for seawater service
• Marine condensers and seawater condensation systems
• Heating and water supply systems
• Chemical processing equipment
• Seawater desalination plants

Both C70600 and C71500 alloys are easily welded using common methods. For optimal results:

• Use consumables from Alloy C71500 for welding
• When welding copper-nickel to steel, use 65% nickel-copper consumables to withstand iron dilution
