  • Base Tube: High-pressure seamless ASTM A192 carbon steel tube provides the core structural integrity and pressure resistance.


  • Fins: Carbon steel strip is serrated ("U" or "V" notches) to increase surface turbulence and disrupt boundary layers for better convective heat transfer.


  • Embedded Process: A groove is precisely machined into the base tube. The serrated fin strip is tension-wound into the groove and mechanically locked by rolling the tube material back over the fin base. This creates a strong, metallurgical-like bond without additional filler materials, resistant to vibration, thermal cycling, and high temperatures (up to ~400°C / 752°F).


This embedded design offers better performance than wrapped or welded alternatives in high-stress applications, minimizing thermal resistance at the fin-tube interface.
