ASTM A269 TP316L Stainless Steel Seamless Coil Tube
ASTM A269 TP316L stainless steel seamless coil tube is manufactured from austenitic stainless steel grade TP316L and supplied in continuous coiled form for applications requiring controlled tube dimensions, corrosion-resistant stainless steel material and compact heat-transfer or process piping arrangements.
ASTM A269/A269M covers nominal-wall-thickness seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing for general corrosion-resisting and low- or high-temperature service. TP316L is identified as UNS S31603 under the specification. The standard also specifies requirements for chemical composition, heat treatment, mechanical testing, hardness and nondestructive electric or hydrostatic testing.
The coiled configuration allows long continuous tube lengths with fewer intermediate connections compared with multiple straight tube sections. This makes TP316L coil tube suitable for heat exchanger coils, condenser tubing, process equipment, instrumentation systems and other applications where continuous tubing is required.
The tube can be supplied with customized outside diameter, wall thickness, coil diameter, coil length and end configuration according to project requirements.
